Good morning!

The market is open for ordering this morning, with delivery and pickup at their regularly scheduled times and locations. This means that pickup in Manchester will be on the actual holiday of Thursday, July 4. Pickup in Tullahoma will be on Friday, July 5. If pickup at these times is a problem for you, please let us know so we can plan to deliver to you. We don’t want anyone to have to miss their weekly fresh farm products, and will gladly work with your timing because of the holiday.

This week’s holiday may mean that one or more farmers may place their products in “vacation mode” this week. Please accept their apology for any inconveniences.

Please check all the categories; some of them do have new products.

Blessings,
Linda & Michael

Linda from Dogwood Valley Greenhouse sends this message:

National Pollinators’ Week has just ended (June 17-23), but you can still celebrate by planting a few perennials that will help out our pollinators. Honey bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators help grow our food, keep our flowers blooming, and make our lands healthy. Here are a few pollinator attractors, most of which are currently in stock at Dogwood Valley Greenhouse:

Achillea (yarrow); Anemone; Astilbe;
Aster; Campanula (balloon flower);
Columbine; Coreopsis; Daylily;
Echinacea (coneflower); Hosta;
Geranium (cranesbill); Lavender;
Monarda; Penstemon (beard-tongue);
Salvia; Scabiosa (pincushion flower);
Sedum; Veronica (speedwell)

We are working on propagating a bunch of other pollinator attractors for future sales. Watch for this category to expand within a year or two!

Hopefully we have ironed out all the kinks in ordering from Albert Lynn. This week’s orders for his vegetables, grown in Viola, TN, should arrive as promised at market this Thursday. We tried to cancel out everything ordered from him last week, but in case we missed something, please let us know, and we’ll be glad to give you credit for the missed order.

Good morning!

The market is open for ordering, although I have not had time to prepare a newsletter.

It seems that I (Linda) have been suffering from heat exhaustion, probably for a while now. You know how it is: we all have people (and animals!) in our lives that depend on us, and we just keep going like the Energizer Bunny, taking care of them. So I’m trying to slow down, stay inside, eat better, and take care of myself a bit.

This all means that I will try to put together a newsletter Sunday afternoon or evening. But just in case I don’t – please remember to check for new items in the Vegetables category for sure – and perhaps elsewhere in the market that I didn’t notice! :-)

Blessings,
Linda & Michael
