The farmers and market managers would really appreciate your efforts to help spread the word about our fantastic market. What a great local resource for fresh, local farm products. Please pick up a few business cards to hand out to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Advertising is very expensive, and we want to use our slim market funds in a responsible manner.

Did you know that by ordering on the locallygrown market, you are virtually assured of receiving the “cream of the crop” from each farmer? You will receive the best products picked and made with pride especially for YOU! You can’t get any fresher and higher quality than that! Thank you for supporting your local farmers and small businessmen and women.
The market is open as usual, and will remain open for your orders till Tuesday at 10 pm.

Farm News of the Week
Michael Raines of Frontier Family Farm in Altamont has a problem: some empty greenhouse space for which he has no immediate plans. He would like to know what you suggest he grow in this open space this winter. He has some things already started, but has room for more. Please come to market on Thursday and give your suggestions to Michael.

Diana from Cindy’s Suds in Manchester writes:
Years ago, my sister, Cindy, decided to make her own laundry soap because she wasn’t interested in all the “smells and bells” of most commercial laundry detergent. She tried several recipes and found the one she liked the best. She would make it for herself and our parents. My dad started calling it “Cindy Suds” in her honor. Recently, I started to make it using her favorite recipe. Cindy Suds is bottled in clean, reused, half gallon and gallon plastic containers. I’ve added a shampoo bar, a new formula that I am really loving. I’ve listed a feminine fragrance, with a unisex version coming as soon as it finishes curing. I’ve also added some handmade reusable, recycled shopping bags made from feed sacks. These are super-sturdy and attractive, and they’re in the Household Items under Handmade Items.

Fall is in the air we adding several Pumpkin items; Pumpkin Breads with Cranberries and nuts or plain. Pumpkin Bars with Belgium Dark Chips with or without nuts. Also delicious Pumpkin Cookies.
Spice things up with our Hot Peppers, Red or Orange Habanero, Scott Bonnets (aka Jamaican Hot Pepper) Fatali, Thai, Anaheim Green Chili, Jalapeño, Poblano and Cayenne, be sure to check our posting to see what is coming in.
And for a short time we will have Pullet eggs.

Important Ordering and Pickup Information
Ordering will be open until TUESDAY at 10 p.m., and your order will be available for pickup on THURSDAY between 4:00 and 5:30 at our tents located outside Manchester Farm Store, 251 Interstate Dr., Manchester. We can also deliver your order to your home (or other location) on Friday afternoons, for a small fee, if it’s more convenient for you. If you prefer to utilize this service, please place an order for it, same as other products, selecting your delivery area. Don’t forget to give us your location address in the comments section of the order. Also please text Linda at (931) 273-9708 for specific arrangements.
We thank you for your interest and support of our efforts to bring you the healthiest, the freshest and the most delicious locally-produced foods possible. Please encourage our local farmers by helping to spread the word about our wonderful market to everyone you know.
