Merry Christmas Night!
Merry Christmas to you and yours, from all the farmers and managers at Middle Tennessee Locally Grown market! We hope you have a blessed time sharing with friends and family.
This is just a reminder that the market will be closed this week, our only planned time to be closed for the entire year. Some of our farmers have suffered setbacks and losses due to the severe cold weather this week, and may have to be off the market for a short time. Some are planning new products for the market soon. Please watch the newsletters for upcoming announcements.
See you in the New Year!
Michael and Linda

The Market Is Open for Ordering!
Middle Tennessee Locally Grown market
will be open for your orders till Tuesday evening at 10 pm.
The market opened for ordering, as usual, on Sunday morning. I’m sick, and really haven’t looked through the offerings. At this time of year we don’t generally get a lot of new things, but the old standbys will be available every week unless on vacation.
Don’t forget to order your Christmas turkey from Wayne Diller. Limited supplies are still available as of this writing.
Please share this mailing with a friend and invite them to become a customer and share in all this local farm goodness.
Please be sure to place your order before 10 pm on Tuesday. Our farmers and bakers must have a full day to prepare your orders for market. Should you forget to order, shoot me a message and I will ask for – but not guarantee – a late order.
Triple T Farms currently has very low inventory, and has gone on vacation mode for just this week. Look for a return next week of their delicious grass fed, pasture raised beef with no hormones or antibiotics ever.
Sow’s Ear Piggery’s pork products will be off market this week. Please check back for our return the following week.
Country Road Homestead will be off the market for a couple of months, till the early spring veggie crops begin to come in.
Meanwhile, we will continue to offer locally grown vegetables as available, and will have a good selection of various cuts of beef, pork, lamb, and chicken. Dairy products will also be available all winter. And before you know it, spring plants will be available from Dogwood Valley Greenhouse.

The Market Is Open for Ordering!
Middle Tennessee Locally Grown market
will be open for your orders till Tuesday evening at 10 pm.
The market is open for ordering this week. I saw only a couple of new items this week, although admittedly, I may have missed some. And I’m very busy this week and next, making Christmas kissing balls and wreaths. So I’m not going to make a “real” newsletter this week, but this notice will have to do. Please share it with a friend and invite them to become a customer and share in all this local farm goodness.
Please be sure to place your order before 10 pm on Tuesday. Our farmers and bakers must have a full day to prepare your orders for market. Should you forget to order, shoot me a message and I will ask for – but not guarantee – a late order.
Country Road Homestead will be off the market for a couple months, till the early spring crops begin to come in. We will miss them, but there are not many veggies that can be grown in the open fields during a Tennessee winter.
Meanwhile, several other farmers will have a selection of winter vegetables available. Frontier Family Farm will have some hydroponic items, and CS3 Farms, Solace Farm, Wayne Diller, Valley View Farm & Garden, and Altamont Mennonites will also offer some variety. It’s harder, but not impossible, to eat a portion of your vegetables from local sources in winter.
