A unique, striking blend of herbal lavender and earthy patchouli essential oils, with a touch of the unmistakable licorice-scent of anise oil - this is one of my favorites, and a frequent comment upon smelling this is “Oooh, I never liked patchouli before, but this! I love this!” This scent is great for men or women, it’s a little spicy, a little dark, and a little sweet. This recipe is made with my own hand-milked goat milk, local lard from a friend's sustainable small farm that I render myself, and a little coconut oil and of course lye - that's it! (Check out my FAQ section at the bottom of the page for why there is lye in soap). I love this soap, in fact I used to make this as a regular, non-goat milk soap, but then made a batch with goat milk for a custom order and loved it so much I decided to convert my lard soaps to goat milk-lard soaps. It is nicely moisturizing, cleans really well with no residue, and has a great lather! This bar is available in either a 3.5 oz molded square bar etched with a beautiful Tree of Life (this listing), or a plain square bar (separate listing). The molded bar comes in a brown windowed paperboard box with complete label. I handmake all my soap in small batches, 6 to 36 bars at a time. If you have used a good handmade soap before, you know that it is a completely different creature than commercial soap, which can be so drying! When soap is made by hand, the chemical reaction of oils with a lye solution forms the substances soap and glycerin. A typical bar of handmade soap is roughly 1/3 glycerin! This is a humectant, meaning it pulls water from the air - when on your skin, it literally moisturizes your skin by attracting water to it. Goat milk is renowned for the luxurious qualities it gives soap, particularly gentle exfoliating and excellent moisturizing. I hand-milk my goats Sophia, Snowpea, and Elvira, and use the rich milk as well as olive and coconut oils, almond, castor, and avocado oils and shea butter to make this wonderful soap. I don't use Palm oil as many soapmakers do - while it itself is a useful oil, I can't condone the harmful cultivation practices used to produce it, and find I don't need it - this soap is wonderful without it!  It is so moisturizing and good for your skin, with extra vitamins and nutrients from the goat milk, as well as the luxurious oils I use. Adorable 100% alpaca stuffed animals. The outside is knitted and felted, then snugly stuffed with loose alpaca wool as well. Specify alpaca, lamb, or chicken. If I have one on hand I can deliver immediately, if not I can have one made in 1-3 weeks. I have a variety of colors available, from white and gray to fawn, brown and black. Fresh, made-to-order suet cakes smell so delicious, my husband can just barely stop himself from sampling them! They are equally irresistible as they are nutritious. Full of fat, they provide a large source of energy for our backyard birds during the cold months. Each cake is 11oz and comes in a closable deli container that is stackable and freezable. Made without preservatives, fresh suet is hands-down my backyard birds favorite treat. They don't even wait for me to walk away when I put them out before they swoop in for a nibble. In fact, I have yet to meet someone whose birds have preferred store bought over fresh. And while they may smell yummy and are made with human grade foods, they are NOT for human consumption. This scrub is ideal for kitchen and bathroom sinks, counters, tubs, etc. It is simply Solace Farm soap, pumice powder, bentonite clay, washing soda, and essential oil or fragrance oil. I love this stuff! I had been using Mrs. Meyers surface scrub, and discovered this recipe - and it's at least as good! It takes stains and dark scratches right out of my cast-iron kitchen sink, and scrubs the hard water/iron stains out of my tub. Virtually nothing else short of nasty chemicals has done that! And it smells great the whole time it's cleaning :) This is packaged in fully compostable sturdy paperboard tubes with a shaker lid. Choose a scent from the list, and add a "Note to Grower" at checkout. If you don't select a scent, I will choose one for you based on availability. <3>Handmade cotton canvas Tea-bag<3> Made of tea-dyed cotton canvas and stamped with non-toxic fabric ink using a mason-jar stamp with decorative flower band. A few of the flowers are painted with a color of pink, marigold, or coral. They measure 6 inches tall x 5.5 inches wide. The cotton canvas material has been tea-dyed before the bags were sewn and stamped. A ribbon draw string is added to pull the bag closed, then tied to keep any tea leaves from falling out into the hot water as the tea infuses. The best teas are made from steaming hot water. Turn the burner off just before the boiling point. Add tea leaves to the hot water and cover with a lid. Let the tea leaves steep 10-15 minutes or until the water is colored deeply. Pour into a pitcher or tempered glass jar. Add desired sweetener of choice, honey, stevia, or raw cane sugar. If tea is too strong, add 1/2 cup water at a time until desired taste is achieved. Steep overnight for strongest (medicinal) infusion.
