NEWS AND NOTES – PART II

This is just too good to keep to myself!

The Altamont Mennonites, a group of farmers who live on The Mountain, have joined our market. This week they have listed several diary products, including pet milk, buttermilk, and pure cream, and also carrots.

Flying S Farms has added two new flavors of bar cookies and several vegetables, including bunching onions, 2 types of summer squash, and shallots.

Loftus Family Farm has added Roma tomatoes. Some are green, some a little riper, but all will ripen on your window sill.

Right now, as the fall season overlaps the lingering summer, we have a super-abundance of all types of vegetables. Remember: all our sources are local, within about a 50 mile radius of Manchester, TN. We will not be able to source some types of vegetables in winter, if it’s not grown in this area. Enjoy the local bounty this fall!

Remember: if you have already placed your order for this week, you may simply place a second one to take advantage of all our new offerings.

Ordering will be open until TUESDAY at 10 p.m., and your order will be available for pickup on THURSDAY between 4:00 and 5:30 at our tents located outside Manchester Farm Store, 251 Interstate Dr., Manchester. We can also deliver your order to your home on Friday, if it’s more convenient for you. If you prefer to utilize this service, please place an order for it, same as other products, designating your delivery location.
