Good morning!

The market is open as usual, and will remain open for your orders till Tuesday at noon (schedule for this week only because of the holiday.) Please be sure to read the section of the page entitled “Important Ordering and Pickup Information.”

We at Manchester Locally Grown wish a wonderful blessed Thanksgiving season to you and your family and friends.

NEWS AND NOTES

We all wish you a most blessed Thanksgiving season! Market Day will be on Wed Nov 23 this week. If you would prefer delivery, please text Linda at (931) 273-9708 for arrangements. We will get your items to you before Thanksgiving if you so wish. If you would prefer a normal Friday delivery, please let us know.

Welcome back to the market to Hope for Health. Hope’s healthy snacks and delicious desserts are just right for the holidays.

Don’t forget to check what’s included this week in the Produce Boxes from Frontier Family Farm. The contents do vary from week to week, so be sure to fill your frig with all the yummy veggies (and occasionally other items) from a produce box.

Flying S Farms has added several flavors of her state-level award-wining jams and jellies to the market.

Please check the market as to whether pork cuts are again available from Weaver Farms. As of this writing, I have not yet received final confirmation on availability of the cuts which have been in short supply for several weeks.

Christmas Kissing Balls are here from Dogwood Valley Greenhouse! Most of the ones I’m making this week are already spoken for, but feel free to place an order that I will fill as soon as I’m able. I will also have a couple of fall baskets and planters at market this week. Come see how nice they will look on your table on Thanksgiving! I have also added two pretty azalea bushes, which are currently reblooming, although they may or may not do so each year.

Vegetables from White City Produce & Greenhouses will be available again this week for Thanksgiving.

On December 15, Manchester Locally Grown will conduct a “Jam and Jelly Tasting Event”. Taste an assortment of jams and jellies made by several local farmers. You will want to invite your family and friends to visit and experience our market on December 15. Put it on your calendar now!

Please remember pickup will be at our NEW LOCATION, at Manchester Farm Center, 251 Interstate Drive, Manchester. Look for us under the big tents to the left of the store. On Thursday, Weaver Farms, Frontier Family Farms, and Dogwood Valley Greenhouse will set up tables at market time (weather permitting). You will be able to see some of the goodies that you’ve been reading about on the market news! When you come to pick up your order, bring a friend and plan to hang out for a few minutes and chat with Ray & Elaine, Michael, and Linda.

Please note that we now offer Delivery for a small fee to a location of your choice within these three areas: within Tullahoma City Limits, within Manchester City Limits, and elsewhere in Coffee County. We will be glad to deliver your order to you, at home or a location of your choice, on Friday afternoons.

(L to R) Pumpkin Roll and Dishcloths from Knottynuffacres, Meringues in several different flavors and Out-of-this-World Carrot Cake from Hope for Health, Award-winning Jams & Jellies from Flying S Farms.

Thanks so much for your support of Manchester Locally Grown Market, and your friends and neighbors who have grown and produced these items. Please encourage our local farmers by helping to spread the word about our wonderful market to everyone you know. We offer a great variety of local farm products, and our items will be in your hands in time to plan for the weekend. Wonderful local products are available for ordering from the comfort of your own computer.

More new farmers are considering joining our market, if they can expect enough sales to help pay their transportation costs. Please help us grow the market by sharing this e-mail with your friends and inviting them to give us a try. And if you haven’t ordered from Manchester Locally Grown for a while, please check out our wide variety of offerings this week. Also please let us know if we can improve our selection or scheduling in any way to better suit your needs.

Blessings,
Linda
