Good morning, everyone!
Whew! It’s been a fast and furious weekend and early week with kids’ activities. I opened the market on Sunday morning, but have been unable to send a message till now. I’m sorry that this catches you a bit short on ordering time, as I will close the market about midnight tonight. But I want you to know that, barring a catastrophe, the market always opens on Sunday morning for ordering, regardless of whether I send a timely message. See the section of this message entitled “Important Ordering and Pickup Information.”

NEWS AND NOTES
Welcome to Just Like Home In Tennessee from Manchester! Donna Slipher has been selling at Manchester and Tullahoma farmers’ markets for two years. This week she has added to our market Hand Twisted Wreaths, and will be adding some baked goods soon.
Weaver Farms has added several types of grape jelly, including single 8 ounce jars, as well as a case of 12 jars, which can be mixed by flavor to your specifications.
Vegetable production is easing off, but these great vegetables are still available on our market from local growers: Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, kale, onions, peppers, red potatoes, spinach, tomatoes, and turnips; and several types of lettuce.
But our farmers’ market is not just about vegetables. Please take note of some of the seasonal items available this week: Live Water Kefir Grains and Square Bale Grass Hay from Triple B Farms; Ground Beef from Paccman Ranch; and Scuppernong cider and jelly from White City Produce & Greenhouses.
Dogwood Valley Greenhouse is offering fabric-lined baskets filled with three herb plants, each in its own 4" pot. These pretty baskets will make great Thanksgiving decorations or hostess gifts. Herbs included will be those commonly used in baking and cooking, a great addition to any kitchen. Specify your preference of herbs from this list: green or purple basil; lemon balm; orange, pineapple, apple, chocolate, spearmint, or grapefruit mint; Greek or variegated oregano; silver-edged, English, common, variegated lemon, citrus, or lime thyme. Basket #1 is approximately 8-9" round with a handle, but may be different from the picture on the market. Pattern of fabric may vary, but will be fall/Thanksgiving themed.
We also have lots of our regular year-round items: perennial, herb, and fern plants, as well as a good selection of houseplants; local milk, eggs, and honey; pork cuts; dried herbs and fresh, as well as lots of homemade herbal products too.
(L to R) Hand Twisted Thanksgiving Wreath from Just Like Home in Tennessee, Open Range Brown Eggs from Wayne Diller, Chardonel Grape Jelly from Weaver Farms, Cut Romaine from Frontier Family Farm, Hand Twisted Honeysuckle and Willow Wreath from Just Like Home in Tennessee.
