Good evening!
This is just a friendly reminder to place your order online by 10 pm tonight. But we realize this reminder is reaching you on the late side, so if timing is an issue, please let Linda know! We will work out a late order if we are able to do so.
Remember to hit that last “submit” button. I really dislike disappointing a customer who comes to market, only to find no order in their name because they didn’t hit the last button. When your order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation. If for any reason you fail to receive this confirmation, please contact Linda as soon as you realize it’s missing.
Also please go to our Facebook page & like, comment, and share this week’s post. Facebook isn’t allowing me to post on multiple sites, or post multiple photos. So please help us spread the word. Surveys indicate that word of mouth is the most effective form of advertisement. Please help us advertise our fantastic growing market!
See you on Thursday!

Farm News of the Week
Dogwood Valley Greenhouse has several really pretty fall-blooming perennials, but the stars of the show in fall are the reblooming azaleas. Reblooming azaleas reliably bloom in the spring and fall, but they are never covered with a complete carpet of flowers as you might see on traditional azalea varieties.
During the months that directly follow planting, give your azaleas plenty of water. Reblooming azaleas will perform well with extra water during hotter days for the first year till roots are established. These azaleas thrive in areas with partial sunlight. Areas with morning sunlight and afternoon shade are ideal.
Blooming now (with more colors to follow):
(L to R): Salmon, Double Pink, and Pink with Throat Markings.
Wayne Diller has added Cut-up Chickens to the market, in addition to several other cuts added last week. His broilers were raised on organic pasture with non GMO grain; no hormones or antibiotics. USDA approved processing.
Knottynuffacres items are unavailable on the market this week, while Debbie is entertaining hurricane evacuees. We hope to see her back next week, as we pray that her family’s belongings are all safe from the storm!

Farm News of the Week
It’s almost time for cooler-weather crops like kale, broccoli, and winter squash. Frontier Family Farm has added the first of the fall lineup, Sweet Potatoes, to the market this week.
Knottynuffacres items are unavailable on the market this week, while Debbie is entertaining hurricane evacuees. We hope to see her back next week, as we pray that her family’s belongings are all safe from the storm!
Wayne Diller has added several cuts of chicken to the market: breasts, drumsticks, thighs, giblets, livers, soup stock, and chicken feet. His broilers were raised on organic pasture with non GMO grain; no hormones or antibiotics. USDA approved processing.
Chicken Breasts, Drumsticks, and Feet.
“Why feet?” you ask.
“Because your body needs lots of vitamins, trace minerals, collagen, and calcium.” Glad you asked.

Farm News of the Week
Frost Farm Purebred Nubian Goats are so cute, I thought they deserve their own spot in the newsletter, since I missed them last week when introducing the farm as a new producer. They are kept on a diet of fresh hay, Organic Dairy Goat Grain, and whatever forage they happen upon while roaming the pastures of Frost Farm. And now, a small number of these cuties can be yours!
Purebred Nubian doeling and registered buck, and buckling.
The fall reblooming azaleas are beginning to bloom at Dogwood Valley Greenhouse! It seems a little early to me, but here they are. They’re in very limited supply, so if you want a lovely shrub with a good pop of fall bloom when few other things are blooming, get one quickly! Bonus: they’ll bloom in spring at “regular” azalea time too! Also please don’t forget about our buy-one, get-one special of Hardy Species Begonia. They’re beautiful right now!
Daniel Tidwell from Triple T Farms writes:
We picked up a new animal from the processor and we’ll get the new inventory on the market for this week.
Three generations of the Tidwell family raise a herd of approximately 75 grass fed beef without the use of growth hormones or antibiotics. Grass-fed beef has less saturated fat and more Omega 3 fatty acids than grain-fed beef, making grass fed beef a valuable part of a heart healthy diet.
(L to R) Ground beef, Sirloin Steak; Triple T herd on pasture.

Remember those striking ducks from Solace Farm? Well, we found some scabs at Frost Farm. Welcome to Paula Frost, who writes:
