Sugar Rush pepper Jelly-jam: This jelly-jam is made from the Sugar Rush peppers that grew in my backyard garden this year. I took out the seeds and ground all the peppers up until smooth in my food processor. Then added 1-1/2 cup organic Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother, 4 cups sugar and pectin to the mix. Processed it in water bath for 20 minutes. The pepper jelly is good with Cream cheese and crackers. The jar is a 4 ounce jelly jar. It would be a lively item to add to a charcuterie board for a church brunch or other public event. **************************************** No chemicals are used in my garden. Pretty much organic, but not certified. **************************************** NOTE: I have several different culinary herbs used for cooking and several different medicinal teas. I have a few home sewn POTHOLDERS, OVEN MITS, and TEA BAGS. I have added aprons and a tank shirt with fabric collage embellishment sewn onto the front of the tank as a decorative element. Oven Mitts are regular or Heart shaped. They are made from quilting cotton and are filled with Dream cotton batting and insul-brite to keep the heat away from your hands. They are lined with a coordinating cotton material. This oven mitt is lined with blue flannel. The cotton material outside is from Joann's fabrics and the fabric design are Fun Stars. The 7 Pot Douglah, also known as the 7 Pod Douglah or Chocolate 7 Pod, is one of the rarest and hottest of the 7 pod strains. Currently the 3rd hottest pepper in the world behind #1 The Carolina Reaper and #2 Trinidad Moruga Scorpion. The Douglah is characterized by a dark brown/deep purple skin with many “pimples” over the surface. The pepper starts out green and matures to the dark color uniuqe to the Douglah. Sweet Bonnet (Mild) Sauce: This sauce is the Third NEW batch and has a bit of a kick to it, a little more than the first, second batch...I actually used sweet bonnet peppers and left the seeds inside the mix. This batch was a little hotter than I intended, but still would be good on chips, smoothed onto a chicken sandwich, or added to eggs. If you don't mind the little extra heat. This batch is smoother, I pulsed it in the processor and drink blender. These peppers are homegrown. Ingredients: They are roasted in a cast iron skillet with onions, carrots, red bell pepper and tossed with avocado oil until tender. Spices are added, such as ground coriander (grown in my garden), garlic powder, ground ginger, thyme (grown in my garden), fresh lemon juice, honey, black pepper, freshly ground from peppercorns, white wine vinegar, salt. The mixture is added to a blender and pulsed until smooth, adding more vinegar as needed to liquify and blend. They are water bath canned in a pot for 20 minutes until sealed. The recipe came from PepperGeek.com and the link is posted in the growers section for Cheryl's Neighborhood Garden. The mix can last indefinitely if refrigerated, because it contains vinegar and honey, which is a preservative in its own right. **************************************** No chemicals are used in my garden. I sell elderberry syrup. It is a flu buster. It has the berries, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, orange peel, dried echinacea and honey. Elderberry syrup boost your immune system. <3>Handmade cotton muslin Tea-bag<3> Made of cotton muslin and stamped with non-toxic fabric ink using a mason-jar stamp with decorative flower band. A few of the flowers are painted with a color of pink, marigold, or coral. They measure 7 inches tall x 6.5 inches wide. The cotton muslin material has been washed after being stamped and sewn. A ribbon draw string is added to pull the bag closed. After adding tea leaves tie closed to keep any tea leaves from falling out into the hot water as the tea infuses. If leaves accidentally get into the water, strain before drinking. The best teas are made from steaming hot water. Heat water to the steaming point, just before boiling. Turn the burner off just before the boiling point. Add tea leaves to the hot water and cover with a lid. If you have the tea bag, add the tea leaves to the bag and let steep or infuse into the water 10-15 minutes or until the water is colored deeply. Pour into a pitcher or tempered glass jar. Add desired sweetener of choice, honey, stevia, or raw cane sugar. If tea is too strong, add 1/2 cup water at a time until desired taste is achieved. Steep overnight for strongest (medicinal) infusion.
